Dr. Milligan uses dental bridges to repair gaps left by one or multiple missing teeth. They also correct the alignment of teeth that may have shifted to accommodate for the loss of a tooth. Dental bridges are created from metal or porcelain and attached to the teeth on either side of the gap—called the abutment teeth. Generally, the abutment teeth are both fitted with crowns, and then the gap is filled by a third crown, attached to the natural teeth on either side of it.
